What Important Life Lesson Thyroid Disease Taught You

I educated myself and learned to trust what my body is telling me no matter how small it may seem. I also realized that doctors don't have all the answers. My dose was too high for a long time, but the doctor said my levels were in range. That's when it clicked. My body wasn't happy sitting in the range someone else decided was "normal."

How Has This Lesson Changed Your Life?

I learned how to accurately recognize my symptoms and alter my dosage as needed. My specialist confirmed everything my gut instinct told me and that the other doctors disregarded. I also discovered I have food allergies and intolerances. Now that I am aware of my food issues, my fatigue has decreased a lot and my immune system is now stronger. My period is now normal which means my hormones are balanced. I only use plastic with numbers 2,4,5. as the others mess with our hormones.

Advice

  • Trust your intuition.
  • Stop using plastic.
  • Get a good night's sleep.
  • Food lables are often misleading; find out what healthy really means by reading and questioning.
  • Avoid sugar! Sugar is half fructose and half glucose.
