My Review

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and diabetes on the same day. I quickly learned that the key to feeling good for both diseases was to keep my blood glucose levels low - which meant either low carb, or meds with side effects. I lost 25 kg and have kept it off, as well as getting and maintaining normal blood test results for blood glucose, cholesterol, liver function, etc - all of which were out of whack at diagnosis. At the same time, I've gone to 100 ug of levothyroxine, which allows me to keep my TSH below 2 and T4 just above normal.

You need to be a little creative to avoid mountains of goitrogenic soy, broccoli, etc. on this diet - but it can be done.
