King Pharmaceuticals Recalls Levoxyl -- May 2003

May , 2003 -- The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a recall for Levoxyl, made by King Pharmaceuticals, in the following size.

Levoxyl Tablets, 300mcg, 100 and 1,000 tablet bottles, Recall # D-248-3.

The 300 mcg, 100 tablet bottle: Lot Nos.: 7325 (Exp date 07/03), 7483 (09/03), 7484 (09/03), 7776 (01/04) 300, and 1,000 tablet bottles: Lot Nos. 7325 (Exp date 7/03), 7484 (9/03), 7775 (1/04).

The reason for the recall, which affects 84,844 units, is that the product is subpotent (not as strong as the stated dosage).
