JEERS: The Federal Government

The Federal Government is no friend to thyroid disease.

I could list about 100 examples, but two in particular jump out in 2005.

First, there's the Centers for Disease control, which canceled their study on the relationship between radioactive fallout and thyroid disease.

And next, our friends at the Pentagon, who persistently downplay the thyroid dangers and extent of contamination by perchlorate, mainly because they apparently don't want to be responsible for the massive costs to clean up the mess they've left behind at various rocket fuel production facilities around the country.
