A Skin Saver

Thyroid problems, because they affect cell turnover, seem to wreak particular havoc on the skin, causing dryness, dullness, and puffiness. I've never been particularly impressed by any skin care products -- even the costly department store stuff. But now, in my 40s, and seeing the effects of age and thyroid-related dryness, I've had to break down and develop a regular "skin care regimen." And so I can honestly tell you that I've become a huge fan of a new Olay product, Definity Foam Moisturizer.

It's a nice, light moisturizer that goes on not as a greasy lotion or thick cream, but as a smooth foam. What I really love, though, is that I'm finding it brightens up dull-looking skin, gives it a bit of a dewy, brighter look, and helps fade some of the blotchy spots. (I liked the sun too much in my younger days.) I sound like an ad, but honestly, it's working...

You can get it online, and at most drugstores and supermarkets.
