Sandy, Better Health With Thyrolar

Mary,

I want to express my gratitude to you for your work with your newsletter and website. The information contained in them has changed my life for the better.

Personal History:

I'd been experiencing symptoms for years before my husband's physician (Who promptly became mine, BTW!) did a thorough test for hypothyroidism. Other doctors had looked at the fact that there was no hypothyroidism in my family, done a shallow blood screen and dismissed the possibility. This physician asked questions which led to my discovery that I had been subjected to head and neck irradiation as a toddler. After 3 weeks on Armour I was a new person!

2 years later, because of gestational diabetes, I was referred to an Endocrinologist who took me off of Armour and put my on Levothroid. Result: A ten year spiral into obesity, depression, hirsutism, gynecological problems, and brain fog so bad that I could no longer write well enough for publication.

I went to the net in search of answers. One possibility (Not yet completely ruled out.) was Cushing's Disease. Various tests were inconclusive, and the similarity of symptoms to hypothyroidism intrigued me. The articles at your site on T3 non-conversion led me to demand a trial of whole thyroid. While the doctor refused to prescribe Armour again, he did prescribe Thyrolar.

In two months on Thyrolar I have lost nearly 40 lbs, regained most of my intellectual acuity, reduced my level of depression by 80%, regularized my menstrual cycles, stopped retaining water, lost most of the facial hair, and found the energy to once again lead a productive life! My family and friends say that my transformation has been as though I was awaking from a coma.

With gratitude,

Sandy
