The first ever TUK Conference is to be held in London at the Friends House, 173 Euston Road, London, NW1 2BJ (directly opposite Euston Underground and Mainline Stations) on Saturday 25th October 2003 from 9.15 am to 4.30 pm. (Parking facilities under Euston Square Underground station). You will have the privilege of listening to doctors and scientists at the very top of their fields, bringing you the most up to date information on research and treatment.
The Programme

| 12.30pm | Break for lunch with a selection of freshly made sandwiches, kettle chips,
mixed nuts, fresh fruit bowl, fresh squeezed orange juice and filter coffee or tea or herb tea |
| 1.15pm | Conference reconvenes |
| 3.15pm | A short break during the afternoon for coffee/tea with biscuits |
| 3.45pm | The conference will finish with a Brains Trust where all the speakers
will be answering your questions. |
| 4.30pm | Conference Ends |
During the breaks you will have the opportunity to purchase the books of these
world-renowned speakers and have them signed by their authors.
Our speakers and their subjects will be:
- Dr Barry Durrant-Peatfield – The diagnosis and treatment of adrenal insufficiency in thyroid disorders, with special reference to fluorine.
Dr Durrant-Peatfield retired from an active medical practice specialising in thyroid deficiency problems, some two years ago, to write and lecture. His book “The Great Thyroid Scandal and How to Survive It” has been enthusiastically received.
- Dr John Lowe & Dr Gina Honeyman-Lowe – The diagnosis and management of
cortisol and thyroid hormone resistance in metabolic disorders, with special reference to fibromyalgia.
Dr John Lowe and Dr. Gina Honeyman-Lowe are acknowledged authorities on metabolism and fibromyalgia, running a busy clinic in the USA. Dr Lowe's book "The Metabolic Treatment of Fibromyalgia" has become a classic for researchers everywhere and they have recently published "Your Guide to Metabolic Health".
- Dr John Mansfield – The role of allergies and toxins in chronic disease, with special reference to mercury.
Dr Mansfield’s reputation for his work in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic response is widely known in the UK and abroad. He runs a busy private clinic in Banstead and is the author of several important books in this field..
- Dr Brian McDonogh – The role of Live Blood Analysis in the detection of hormonal and nutritional deficiencies.
"Dr McDonogh also holds a Masters Degree in Nutritional Medicine and has a
private clinic in Crawley. He advises in all aspects of general medicine,
particularly with reference to nutrition and deficiency illnesses, and has a
profound interest in the underlying causes of disease."
- Ron Turner – Laboratory analysis of salivary hormones – benefits, issues and limitations.
Ron Turner is a biochemist and runs the NPTech Services laboratory in Suffolk, which specialises in the diagnosis and monitoring of hormonal disorders.
- Dr Hamar Vogelaar – The importance of urine testing in hormone deficiency states, with special reference to thyroid and adrenal disorders.
Dr Vogelaar is a biochemist from The European Laboratory of Nutrients, in Holland, whose pioneering work in the use of urine for the diagnosis of hormonal dysfunction is internationally acknowledged.
