If you live in the Vancouver, Vancouver Island or Greater Victoria area, Dr. David Derry needs your support this Wednesday, 10/31, at a public meeting to discuss his ability to continue treating thyroid patients.

Another innovative practitioner is under attack by the medical establishment. Dr. David Derry is the subject of a meeting at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, a Canadian medical oversight group, on Wednesday, October 31st in Vancouver, from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. If you live in the Vancouver, Vancouver Island or Greater Victoria area, Dr. Derry needs your support. A committee is reviewing Dr. Derry's practice, because an endocrinologist has claimed that his prescribing of thyroid is "inappropriate and dangerous." He had not seen the patient in question, only the patient's lab test. As all meetings of the College are now open to the public, anyone can attend. Dr. Derry could use patient support, or there is a risk that he can be railroaded out of medical practice.

The meeting location is 1807 West 10th Avenue. There is one parking lot about half a block away, under one of the buildings on Broadway. If you get to the corner of Burrard and Broadway you are within about a block of the College. It is an inconspicuous two story building on the corner on 10th street (one above Broadway).
