Welcome to our newsgroup family. Courtesy to all is encouraged, but spam and flaming aren't tolerated. The emphasis here is on support. There are no stupid questions, and posts from newbies are always welcome.
Some posts are off-topic with humo(u)r and other discussions, and "OT" (off-topic) is usually in the subject line for these posts. This way, an individual doesn't have to read non-pertinent information. Newsservers can also be programmed not to download posts with "OT" in them.

Highly recommended books
The Thyroid Solution: A Mind-Body Program for Beating Depression and Regaining Your Emotional and Physical Health by Ridha Arem, MD. It discusses the need to keep TSH below 2, describes his protocol of using Cytomel (T3), deals with the emotional aspects of thyroid disorders, and has chapters on Thyroid Eye Disease and thyroid cancer.
Living Well With Hypothyroidism: What Your Doctor Doesn't Tell You....That You Need to Know by About.com's Mary Shomon. Along with the Arem book, it's a good source for people who are diagnosed with hypothyroidism and find out that it's not simple to treat. The Thyroid Sourcebook, 3rd ed. by M. Sara Rosenthal. This is a good basic book that explains thyroid disorders.
