Liotrix is the generic name for the synthetic drug combining levothyroxine and liothyronine (synthetic T4 plus synthetic T3). This drug is not very commonly prescribed in the U.S., but is more popular with alternative and complementary physicians, as the drug contains both key thyroid hormones. This drug should be refrigerated.
