Dr. Sara Gottfried Publishes New Book, The Hormone Cure

By March 18, 2013

Follow me on:

Integrative physician and holistic gynecologist Sara Gottfried, MD has just published her new book, The Hormone Cure, this week, and already it's rocketing to the top of bestseller lists!

Dr. Sara, who has been regularly featured here at the About.com site, has written a terrific book, with comprehensive information to help women determine how to balance what she calls the "Charlie's Angels" of hormones -- thyroid, cortisol (adrenals), and sex hormones. Building on her medical degree from Harvard, and her career as an integrative practitioner, Dr. Sara offers sound, well-researched medical information about hormone health and balance, plus nutritional, lifestyle and mind-body information from the integrative perspective, I think it's a terrific resource and addition to any thyroid patient's bookshelf.

On the thyroid front, Dr. Sara explores subclinical hypothyroidism, the role of Reverse T3, treatment with T3 and natural thyroid drugs, and many other cutting-edge and controversial thyroid issues.

More information on The Hormone Cure is available at Dr. Sara's site, TheHormoneCureBook.com. The book is available at local bookstores, and online. You can also get a free excerpt online at SaraGottfriedMD.com.

Update on March 25, 2013 -- The Hormone Cure has hit the New York Times bestseller list...this week, it's #5 on the hardcover Advice/How-To Books list!
