On a recent trip to the United Kingdom, I had an opportunity to do an in-person Q&A interview with British blogger and thyroid patient, Robert Chapman, who runs the blog HypoMan. I know you'll enjoy learning more about this charming and committed advocate who is an increasingly popular voice on the thyroid scene.

I’ve started reading Mr Chapman’s story and I have many issues in common. I started complaining to my doctor about odd symptoms I was having and she basically attributed them to my depression. I continued to complain so she ordered specific thyroid bloodwork. Nothing out of the ordinary. I continued to comment on symptoms that I thought were outside anything which could be attributed to that general catchall of depression. Meanwhile, my body was changing-I was gaining weight, my hair was falling out, I was tired all time, difficulty sleeping (I’ve always had difficulty sleeping), etc, etc,…Then finally my
TSH level spiked and I had low T3 and T4 levels. Clinical proof that something else was in play! She finally put me on thyroxine for hypothyroidism. But alas it wasn’t enough and she is gradually increasing my dosage. I recently started taking a higher dose and my menopausal symptoms came back for about a week. It was very weird and very uncomfortable. They’re gone now and I do hope that this dosage works.

I’d like to know if your books are available in any Scandinavian language? It’s for my mother who does not speak English very well. I’ve searched the internet and sites like Amazon, but to no avail, so I guess they are not available in those languages?
