June of 2005 I found a lump in my throat which turned out to be Thyriod cancer –a 2.5 cm. tumor (follicular and papillary). After the thyriodectomy including the parathyroids, I was treated with one round of radiation — “mop up” treatment. I’ve had no more reoccurance of cancer and remained on Synthroid these 7.5 years.
Ever since this surgery I’ve had other issues with reaction to foods, GI issues, skin problems, etc.– I won’t bore you with all the details, but my question is Is Sjogren’s syndrome related to this type of cancer and if so, HOW?
