More reason to steer clear of flame retardants on furniture and fabrics: new research shows that higher levels of flame retardant exposure in pregnant women are linked to lower TSH levels - which means that the women tended to be hyperthyroid. CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta did a brief summary.

The American Thyroid Association has started a new weekly email they call Thyroid Weekly, which links to stories in the media about thyroid disease. Definitely worth subscribing.
