I hear from readers all the time, who write to ask, "My Synthroid isn't working! What should I do?" It's very common for someone to start Synthroid (the most popular brand of levothyroxine with doctors), and three or four weeks later, find themselves still exhausted, losing hair, gaining weight, or feeling miserable. The first thought is "The Synthroid isn't working!" But if this happens to you, does this mean your medication really isn't working? Here are some questions that will help you find out if your Synthroid isn't working.

If one moves to BRitain or Canada and was taking Levoxyl in the US, what is the closest equivalent? I don’t want to switch to Synthroid as I really want to continue to take LEvoxyl – do they have it in those countries? Thanks so much!
