The Jewish holiday Passover, begins next Saturday April 19. The Jewish Press has an excellent article about dietary rules and how they apply to medicines on Passover. The thyroid medication Synthroid is, in particular, discussed in this informative article.

This article was a very interesting read. I believe that our thyroid medicine does treat a serious illness and should alwys be taken as directed, even on the day of/over a religious holiday.

My mother has always told me that since the Lord/God/Heavenly Father made special men/woman to become doctors’, taking her prescriptions as prescribed would never be against/offend the higher power. Thanks.
