I have been hypothroid since my mid 20’s and now I’m 66. After an untrasound done in 2004 I was told my throid gland is Positive-Atrophied. I feel I have never been given the right treatment for this disease. My medication is based on TSH Serum. I’ve had doctors (at least 5) who always give me Levoxyl or similar drug. Most of my life I have been between 50-100 pounds overweight and get tired easily. I’ve taken Atenenol for high blood pressure for at least 10 years and I now have high chloresterol and can’t take statin drugs because they make my muscles weak. I’m now trying Zetia. I have also been treated for depression several times. Nothing changed.
I would really welcome a TV program about this disease. Why are Doctors so unwilling to listen to information we have searched for? Ever since I got a computer I have read every article on hypothroidism I could find. I need help to feel better. I appreciate all the information you give. Thanks, Mary
