Politically Incorrect Nutrition: Finding Reality in the Mire of Food Industry Propaganda
Friday August 20, 2004
Is your kitchen too politically correct? Those healthful products you've stocked your shelves with may not be so good for you after all. That's the premise of Michael Barbee's book, Politically Incorrect Nutrition. This book details Barbee's opinions about such sacred cows as green tea, soy, vitamin C, milk, vegetarianism, and fluoridation of water. Barbee sets out to debunk what he calls the propaganda surrounding the products and ideas so heavily promoted in the public. It's a must read, particularly for thyroid patients, who are at particular risk from some of the issues Barbee discusses.
