JAMA Publishes New Research Saying T3 Offers No Benefit: T4 and T3 Controversy Continues

Research just published in the December issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association claims that the addition of T3 to T4/levothyroxine treatment does not offer any benefits to patients. This study comes on the heels of two October 2003 studies in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism had similar findings regarding the lack of effectiveness of T3.
