Abbott Does NOT Have New T4/T3 Thyroid Drug in the Works

Looks like the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) needs to update their databases more regularly. A spokesperson at Abbott Labs (maker of the controversial Synthroid), confirm that there is no new T4/T3 drug in Phase 1 trials. Despite PhRMA's database listing, the T4/T3 drug Phase I trials at Abbott were discontinued quite a while ago. According to Abbott, they wanted to focus their efforts on Synthroid.
